"If Airtel remains as single largest DTH service provider in future, I will stop using TV"
I have been using Airtel DTH for last 3 years and the service has been very poor...I did not want to change the provider so continued with Airtel. I bought new HD TV in last week of May. I had called Airtel DTH CS to know if there is any offer available for HD upgrade. Since then I got multiple calls from them and they somehow managed to convince me to go with their offer. I paid the HD upgrade charges online and that’s when I put myself in big trouble.
I was assured that the installation will be done in 24 hours. I called on 1st of June to check the status and I was asked to wait for another 48 hours. I waited till 4th June and since then I have been calling then and I got false promises and the upgrade never happened. Meanwhile, I bought new Tata sky connection. I paid 3000 Rs on June 7th 09:30 PM and the installation was done by 10:00 AM on June 8th. I am damn impressed.
I called up Airtel DTH CS multiple times asking for refund but they drop the call everytime I ask for the status.
I am planning to approach consumer forum soon.
Please do not go with airtel dth
