Airtel sounded to me a good company on a very gut feel. It is the biggest telecom operator after all. And I bought Airtel Digital TV.
A mistake that I ask you, readers to NOT DO. It is a nightmare to login to their online module. If you login, then top up options are minimal. If the top up option is available, then you cant register that online. It gives a server error.
Only online service that works is recharge, where they debit my account and credit the recharge balance. In effect, they are only good at taking money from customers.
Then they deduct 1 Re. everyday from my recharge balance. I dont know why? It is practically stealing money from me. They dont let me subscribe to new channels online and then eat on my recharge balance.
For the past few days, I am trying to call their phone banking team. But it is just a sham. No one comes to the line. I must have spent at least 100 bucks on my mobile phone waiting for them to pick up their phones.
In their IVR, they dont have all the top up options for me to subscribe. So effectively, I can only fill my recharge balance, but cant use it. Airtel eats it up slowly - Re. 1 a day. Bad service. Bad systems.
Just dont bother buying Airtel Digital TV. Opt for Tata sky instead.
