Airtel being the most preferred telecom service provider in bangalore, I opted for Airtel DTH. But that was the worst decision. In past one year, they have changed my set top box thrice!
Every 2 months my set top box stops functioning for no apparent reasons at all. and then for next 15 to 20 days all I have to do is run after these Airtel guys, trying to call up on the call centre. Raising service requests. the engineers who are assigned the service requests just close the request by updating some false random reason like phone not reachable etc.
I have also tried to escalate it to the zonal heads, but they give you all false promises. your account keeps debiting even though your tv is not working. and even though they promise you would get the amount credited back. but thts too far fetched. never has that happened.
Never ever in my life seen such a pathetic customer support. Never ever go for Airtel DTH even if they give you for free. Absolutely not worth all the pain they give you later on.
