I am using 3 dth service right now they are dishtv, tatasky and bigtv.
I can assure u that if u are looking for good service and better quality then u can go for tatasky!!!
Tata sky has almost 160+ channels including colours, neo sports and neo cricket and all other channels.only zee sports is not coming.but for this u have to pay 370rs per month if u opt for all the channels.after sales service here in bangalore is excellent.i have faced only once a problem after installation but there service engineers had reported within 6 hours and solved my problem.
Even in clouded whether it works better than dishtv and big tv.
Tatasky installation is done within 24hours.
About dishtv, it is having more channels than tatasky but not having neo cricket and neo sports which is a major drawback if u r a cricket lover.but it is having zee sports in addition.it is having around 5-7 music channels but tatasky is having only 3 music channels ie mtv, channel v, vh1.
After sales service of dishtv is very bad.picture and sound quality is just average.
Picture and sound quality of both bigtv and tatasky as well as airtel dth is far better than dishtv.dishtv is cheaper and if u take all the channels then u have to pay 330rs per month.
Installation is done within 48 hours.
About bigtv it is also having around 150+ channels doesnot have zee sports, colours.but is having neo cricket and neo sports plus it is having 32 channels of movie out of which 20 channels u can watch for paying 50rs per month in that u get movies of all the language including hindi.12 channels show’s english movies for which u have to pay per movie around 50-60rs.
After sales service is good but installation takes more than 72 hours.
It is very cheap here in south india but overall also it is cheaper than others.for around 4500rs u get 12 months subscription and set-top box and installation.
Picture and sound quality is good.i am using bigtv from september and it is working quite well till now only installation takes more than 72 hours and there customer care service just average.
About airtel dth. One of my friend is using it.so i can have my say on this.
This is a new kid on the block with all the latest feature.like
1) same remote for set-top box and tv.
2) world space satellite radio channels which is very good
3) set-top box has attractive looks
4) mpeg 4 tecnology so more channels can be added in future.even big tv has this feature.
5) airtel live
Airtel dth is costly than others and it will cost u around 400rs for all the channels per month.u can look for some offers as this is new dth so there r many good offers.
Installation takes around 48-72 hours.after sales service i have no idea!!!!!!!
It has all the channels including colours, neo sports, neo cricket, zee sports, 5 music channels plus all the other common channels.
Sound and picture quality is good.
At last i conclude that if u r looking for best dth and price is not a concern for u go for tatasky or airtel dth. But cost factor is there then go for bigtv that is also good. Only after sales service is average. Dishtv is my last choice, i will suggest never buy dishtv!!!!
