I have been using Tata Sky HD connection and last week on Friday it stopped working suddenly. The message on the TV screen is to standby while the system is being initialized. The message remains. I duly informed their service centre no. 18604256633 on Saturday morning and someone visited and told us that my set-top box was not working and needed replacement costing Rs. 500. I agreed to pay that money and he promised to return soon, which he never did.
My 78-year old mother, whose daily life revolves around TV is in depression. I have made at least 8 to 9 calls, if not more, between yesterday and today. The call centre agents would repeat the crammed up polite lines like a parrot. I am still waiting for someone to show up. The whole experience has made me very agitated. It has been more than 3 days and they are still not able to instruct anyone to visit my house to replace the faulty set.
I would not advise anyone ever to buy tata sky connection. They do not understand the meaning of customer service.
Could someone please advise me how to migrate to another vendor without losing my money invested in Tatasky settop box.
