I was using Tata Sky from early 2008. That time I payed Rs 1500 for the set top box (STB), latter Rs 1000 for instillation of the antenna. After all that was done I had to change my house with in 2 months, when I changed the house I was told that they ’ll come and take the antenna. After changing the house the rules changed, Removing it from the old house and re-instillation all together was Rs 750, new antenna was Rs 1000... So we went for new antenna.
Next time the rules changed, after 2 yr I had to shift my location, then it was Rs 350 or something. I payed, latter the antenna had a problem, I had to again pay Rs 350. Now of late all of a sudden my STB became dead. So I called TS, they come to my house without any equipment and then just go away saying that they would get a new STB, I had already mentioned what the complain was to them yet the unprofessional and careless they are they just came like that saw and went. Next day he comes with a very old, used and dirty STB, instills at my place and then took my old STB and then while leaving he says the charges are Rs 350.
I don’t understand why did he take my old STB which I got by paying so much of money, and now again I need to pay Rs 350 for the old crap and the warranty period is just 3 months. They expect me to pay Rs 350 every three months apart from the plan which i’ve where I pay Rs 350 every month. In 3 yrs i’ve almost spent Rs 5000 on accessories of TS and also monthly rental of Rs 350/ month.
Isn’t that crazy?
One more thing is that the monthly recharge what we do is we pay for the service we use. If we dont recharge on time again we need to pay Rs 10 as fine for deactivation charges.
If we go for a regular cable we dont need to pay so much as monthly rental, no deactivation if we even pay for 2-3 months if we are his old customer and also, no extra charge on anything.
Here we need to pay money for each n everything.
They are just a Money Swindling Machine.
