I am a customer of TATA SKY. I have booked my TATA SKY through internet and I got one month subscription free offer. I would like to inform you that please contact over phone with the call center and make sure what offer they are providing, before purchase the connection.
TATA SKY has major draw backs in the following areas.
1) They are providing less no of channels with respect to DISH TV.
2) Most importantly the free air channels are also included in the pay packages...which represents that if you dont pay the monthly subscription you wont be able to view the free channels also...surprisingly its very bad...
3) It is very irritating and pain ful to contact with the call center representatives over phone. My last months experience I can share with you regarding the account charging over phone.
I have tried more than 10 times to reach to them, two times I was successful to get them over phone after a long waiting. After getting one tata sky representative over phone also I did not able to recharge my account there, though the mobile already burnt Rs.30/ for that purpose. Ultimately I recharged it through internet !!! Imagine how tuff it is to recharge your account when you are ready to pay also.....THEY sholud increase their call center other wise the business will fall.
4) With compare to the cable operator tata sky does not provide regional channels also.
5) They dont have any data transfer (INTERNET) facility and also not providing any radio channels.
Picture clarity and audio out put both are good in either cases.
As the pay packages are not fixed and frequently changes , it is strongly recommended to know the charges before getting any of the connection.
