I m using Dishtv from past 2 years. I dont hav tatasky at my hone but has xperienced it at my friend’s house. So let me try 2 compare both of them.
CHANNEL QUALITY
Channel quality of both dishtv and tatasky is far better than cable-wallas. If we compare Dish and tatasky then tatasky has a slight edge.
ECONOMIC
Dishtv is cheaper than tatasky and has better offers. Currently while tatasky is providing 3mnths free viewing(or 5 mnths 4 2nd/3rd tv), Dishtv provides 6 mnth free viewing on 1st connection and 1 year for 2nd connection.(both at Rs.3990)
CHANNELS and PACKAGES
While dishtv provides around 150 tv channel plus 20 radio channel, tatasky only has 100 channels(no audio channel). Recent decision of tatasky of dropping of 13 channels has been a disaster for customer. Dishtv has more choice and better packages but both in tts(tatasky) and dtv(dishtv) most customers will end up paying Rs.300(including taxes) per mnth
AFTER SALE SERVICE
tts provide better service than dtv, but the flip side is dtv’s service is improving while tts graph is going down
PAYMENT SYSTEM
dtv has more ways of paying ur subscription but tts billing system is convenient
ACTIVE SERVICE
one of the biggest advantage of dth is active srevices like program guide, online games, ACTIVE SPORTS(multiple camera angle, highlights, player’s statistics), Movie on Demand, NEWS ACTIVE, etc. both tts and dtv provide this service. I dont know why I like active services of dishtv more.

remote*-dishtv remote(zenega box) is better bcoz it is light and small
set top box*-new zenega box of dish r better in looks nd r smaller in size
channel
swapping*-in new zenega boxes of dish time taken 2 change channel is
equal 2 as that taken in tatasky’s digicom but in older boxes of dishtv
channel swapping takes little more time
channel list*-channels r arranged in a much better way in dishtv than tatasky
program
guide*-tatasky provides more detailed program guide but dishtv provides
it in provided vertically which is really convenient.moreover u can
watch channel while watching epg in dishtv
information bar*-i like the info bar of dishtv

Something for every region -> dish wins again
