WISH KARO LEKIN DISH MAT KARO

I don’ know about other dth providers; but from my bitter experience with dish tv, i can vehemently say that it is a customer’s nightmare.


I took dish tv in 2005. For the first year, it was fine. When the time to renew came, thins startd to go from bad to worse. You have to fight with customer care to get your signals activated after paying money. Some time you won’t be ale to access their toll free no. Also. When you renew for one month, after the fight and activation, you may be getting to see channels only for 26-28 days. Obviously, they are not going to reimburse money.


The list is endless.


After the suffering for 27 months, i reverted to old cable system in january. Now this dish tv has started interrupting free to air channels also for non-payment of subscription. This is a blatant violation of trai regullation 2007 clause (8). I will paste the relevent portion below.


"8. Prohibition to disable Direct to Home Set Top Boxes.----- In case the


direct to home subscriber does not owe any dues ( including any arrear


towards installments of hire purchase scheme or arrears of rent for the Direct


to Home Customer Premises Equipment of such operator) to a direct to home


operator, such operator shall not disable the Direct to Home Set Top Box of


such subscriber who does not intend to continue to opt or avail direct to


home services offered by such direct to home operator and uses or intends to


use the Direct to Home Customer Premises Equipment for viewing the direct


to home services of Doordarshan or any other direct to home operator."


NOW, I HAVE TO FIGHT LEGALLY AGAINST THIS BLATANT VIOLATION OF TRAI REGULATION.


ANY ONE WHO READS THIS AND HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES, REAPOND THROUGH THIS FORUM.
