Just bought the recently launched Spacio Gold Plus SA (Top End) with all the goodies fitted in. Includes features like 3.0 L Monster Engine which is much more refined than before with a Turbo Charger. The goodies fitted are mp3 player with 4 speakers, keyless entry system, engine immobilizer, AC, beautiful seat fabric.
I think the SA has redefined the Spacio image from a long hauler to city bad boy meant for Gen Y. I mean the Turbo chrged engine makes a sound which is like music to ears - emanates tons of power. In my acceleration and speed test, this vehicle is a dream considering its weight and that its diesel. It touches 80 in 3rd gear and goes upto 142 kph (if u have the balls to take this elephant sized vehicle to that speed).
I don’t need the horn in the city, the roaring engine does the job. Good turning radius of 4.9 mts, better that even a lot of cars.
With additional features like Body color bumpers, headlight adjustment switches, silent cabin with tinted glasses, and an under body spare wheel, Spacio is now a car inside and a beast outside.
Drawbacks:
There are a few: like thin tyres (185/85R16). I put in the 235/70 R16 Safari tyres. Looks beautiful now.
Also, if u push the vehicle too much in gear 1 it vibrates a bit. Rest all is pretty much good.
Warning:
Its very easy getting carried away by the power and the sound of the engine and you may touch 80kph by the time u know. So be careful as the brakes may not be able to handle such a huge momentum.
