Well, as a reviewer of my Tata Sumo vehicle ..I would like to pen down my experience in a very matter of fact way I hope I can convey to you what my experience of owning a Tata Sumo has been.I bought a Tata Sumo SE 2000 model in Jan 2000 sold it in July 2005.
1.Drove it for six months till I found a crack in the chassis frame.Contacted the local dealer immediately for repair. Found the defect irrepairable. Had to wait for almost three months for a chassis to be shipped from Thane for a replacement done free of charge as it was a manufacturing defect.
2. Had a recurring allignment problem with the front tyres. It was diagnosed as a faulty bush problem but even after changing the bushings a few times the problem still persisted. Cost me a lot of new tyres.
3.Was posted in a moderately cold hill station had problems of diesel freeze in winter
My vehicle covered over 2lakh km and I have faced numerous problems with the same but I ve listed only the major probles Ive faced.
Well as u realize I had major problems with my Tata Sumo Vehicle.I personally would steer clear of buying any Tata Sumo ever again nor would recommend it to anyone I know.
The only thing going for it is space.
