I own Grande. like others I did waited for the product and was inspired and so on in 6 months the product went to service station for 5 times.
1) for AC retrokit replacing.
2) for steering column replacement. reason vibrations are felt in the streering.
3) the seats are vibrating, 1st gear shifting is hard & clutch tight even after 8000 km.
4) door pads loosening
5) first service.
I didnt expected this kind of output equavalent to a scrap from tata motors.
who owner can be happy after spending 8 lakhs and keep facing issues with the product.
after using the product from past 6 months, thought I should share the issues with the product.
after completing 5 rounds to the service center, the present status of the product,
1) complete gear shift assembly is changed. I dont have a square designed gear rod, now its more or less like a cars one.
2) door pads havent been fixed yet, reason no pins available in spares.
3) seats all the 3 rows vibrating. because of repeatedly opening and tightening them now there is a kich kich noise from them.
Other issues I have noted is:
1) back mud guards , are fixed with press fit buttons, again I got them fixed with regualr bolt fixed.
2) the distance between front mud guards and the wheel is insufficient, when you take a U turn u can hear the wheel touching the pad and the noise is heard when u switch off the AC.
3) horns need to be replaced.
4) no proper place in the vechile to place the toolkit (spanner and jack rod and the E-sign board).
Tatas should be ashamed of relasing this king of product with out prior QUALITY CHECK.
Regarding Performance of engine:
you can still feel the eigine is still running hard based on the sound u can hear from the engine even after 8000 km.
very poor in its pickup and gear to pickup ratio
good at - city driving.
very bad at rear schoks.
Check out before you ZERO DOWN.
