I really did not buy this product but got it as a gift. The product is easy to assemble and the usage is also easy. Just fill water into the upper compartment which then gets filtered and comes to the lower one for consumption.
However remember to fill only till that level in the upper one as much is free in the lower one like for example if there are three levels free in the lower one fill only three levels as per the marking in the upper one else it will overflow and fall all over.
The first filter is basically kind of cloth and this definitely needs to be cleaned every week. It does a good job of initial filtering of the particles and mud in the water but not cleaning it weekly and filling the upper compartment will kind of PUSH the filtered material through this one and over a period of time you can see a small layer of dust kind layer in the bottom of the compartments. Then you will have to clean the entire product.
There are some gaps from where small insects, dust and ants can easily get into the lower compartment. So not really air tight and defeats the purpose of getting purified water.
The main filter is another big headache to get from the market. Many shops don’t stock it. Also the indicator on it is very difficult to read at times. Towards the end filter becomes very slow and takes a lot of time to filter.
So if looking for a filter which requires no gas or electricity then this one might be a possible option but apart from that wont really recommend this one.
