Story
John Abraham’s father leaves a will which states that his loyal employee would get all the money while his son would not have a single penny. John fights this one out and is ably supported by his girlfriend Sameera Reddy.
Just prior to the day of hearing, john returns from a party and gets his car banged. On the day of the hearing he catches a cab to reach the court and his first meeting with Nana Patekar ( the taxi driver) happens and the meeting turns into a turmoil for poor john as one problem after another creeps.
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar plays the character of Raghav Shastry and his wife is Sonali Kulkarni. He lies to his wife that he is an LIC agent while in reality he is a cab driver.
The problems that John and Nana face is what the rest of the movie is all about and the ending is in true hindi filmi Ishtyle.
Plus Points
1.The songs bye Vishal Shekhar surely needs a word of praise as they are very
catchy and Adnan Sami once again does magic with his playback.
2.Cinematography is good and is surely worth watching.
3.And our Sutradaar Mr. Sanjay Dutt does a fantastic job as the narrator of the story and one is left asking as to why he did not do a cameo in the movie?
4.Sameera Reddy does a decent performance as she did not have too much to do either while Sonali Kulkarni’s performance is subtle and well contained.
5.Nana seems to be getting monotonous in his roles and needs to do a major revamping exercise.
NEGATIVE POINTS
1.THE STORY IS VERY STALE AND AFTER THE INTERVAL TENDS TO GET SLOWER.
2.JOHN ABRAHAM LOOKS GREAT IN THE MOVIE BUT HE STILL HAS A LOT TO LEARN TO IN TERMS OF CARRYING A MOVIE ON HIS SHOULDERS.
3.MILAN LUTHRIA WHO HAD EARLIER DIRECTED MOVIES LIKE DEEWAAR AND KACCHE DAAGE COMES UP WITH A DUD THIS TIME.
Overall an avoidable movie and for all those John fans, they can go and watch this movie but do not have any expectations as one just does not come to only see Abrahams drop dead gorgeous looks alone....right??? what say?
