Had a harrowing experience with TFS last week, during my dussehra trip to ahmedabad from Hyderabad. TFS at Hyd was great, cab arrived on time. But on reaching Ahmedabad, I contacted the drivers number SMSd to me by TFS and found that it was switched off. I Had to wait for more than half an hour at the airport and only after numerous calls to the customer care, were they able to provide me an alternative vehicle. The purpose of booking a cab in advance was wasted standing at the airport with baggage and family for half an hour. Brushing it off as a singular bad experience - I was naive enough to book a cab thru TFS again for our return journey for a drop at Kalupur Railway station.
Cab was booked for an 8 am pick-up. To be doubly sure I called them up at 0715 just to remind. I was assured of receiving an SMS at 0730 containing the driver details. There was no SMS till 0745. Called them again, and the genius sitting there tried his level best to convince me that due to network problems and system errors their messages were not reaching me, and the driver would be calling me in less than 5 minutes.
It was 0755, when I knew that I had to make alternate arrangements for my transport to get to the station on time. Arranged an auto rickshaw and then called up TFS only to be told that since there was no vehicle in that particular locality at that time, they would not be able to provide me a vehicle and they are sorry blah blah blah.
I would have missed my train had I decided to wait for the cab on the assurance of the TFS customer care. So friends, be careful when you book a TFS cab in Ahmedabad, have back up resources, especially at odd hours. Manan cabs I heard is better, as far as response and prompt service is concerned.
