There’s absolutely nothing better in the morning, than waking up to the smell of a freshly brewed pot coffee. I enjoyed that appetizing taste of a full bodied coffee, which makes for a scrumptious cup of coffee?
The recipe below is what I fix on special occasion.
Black Forest Coffee
6 oz Fresh brewed coffee
2 tb Chocolate syrup
1 tb Maraschino cherry juice
Whipped cream
Shaved chocolate/chips
Maraschino cherries
Combine coffee, chocolate syrup, and cherry juice in a cup; mix well. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a cherry.
As far as I can remember there was always a large picture of ice tea. In the summer time, I do like my sun tea with plenty of ice, as well. Below is my Sun Tea recipe.
SUN TEA
Fill a 2 quart container with cold water.
Add 4-5 tea bags or teaspoons of loose tea.
Stir and cover loosely.
Place in full sun light for 3-4 hours according to the desired tea strength. Stain into a clean container and chill.
Add sugar and lemon to taste and serve over ice.
Is Coffee Bad for Us?
There are several reports that I have read online and the bottom line is this:
Coffee has taken a lot of bad press lately and, still no one wants to stopping drinking coffee.
The only real negative side effect of coffee comes from caffeine. Drinking large amounts of this drug can cause an increase in alertness, heart rate, and blood pressure, not to mention it can lead to sleepless nights.
Other than that, no tests have shown any problems related directly to the drinking of coffee.
You should watch your calorie intake when it comes to gourmet coffees, iced coffees, and café au laits, as they have high levels of sugar and cream.
Maybe, moderation is the best solution.
A couple of weeks ago or so, I heard on the news that, “Coffee may help prevent liver cancer”. I pray this is the case. That would be extraordinarily good NEW!
