So, my enthusiasm on cars started going high and high. I was browsing many websites, seeing a lot about cars, learning a lot about cars. There I came through team-bhp. The website impressed me the way it was. So I started loving the website and became a regular visitor. I even bought their sticker and proudly pasted in my car.
I read their reviews and loved their attention to detail on the car they review. So finally I decided to become a member. I registered in their website. They asked for some details and I filed in those. And finally, my membership was rejected and a blank email was sent to me stating
"We are sorry, but your Team-BHP membership could not be approved.
As you might know, the “Why Team-BHP?”, “Which Policy?” and "Which Indian Car?" fields play a crucial part in the selection of our Members. We are very particular about the answers you provide in your application, so do give them some thought when applying. Please pay very close attention to the guidelines provided on the registration page, as disregarding any of them will negatively affect your application.*"
Ok. So they are considering these things seriously. Let I make a better statement and apply again. And I applied again.
Meanwhile, I visited to the forums other than just reading reviews. So there I felt something is not going right. Some car brands are praised high and some car brands are being criticized too much. So there are posts about niggles and issues on some cars. Each car has some niggles. So posts on niggles should be made on every car. But I saw a post specifically degrading the honda city and skoda/VW. So other cars doesn’t have any issues/niggles? There are 89000 odd users. If 40 people report small niggles in their cars, will that car become unreliable? If a post is to be made on such niggles, a survey should be conducted on a whole on the niggles before posting. 40 people complaining on small niggles on 500 people purchased a car doesn’t makes the car unreliable.
It states "Definitive car website", but I don’t feel that it is definitive. I see more than one member’s voice rather than a team’s voice.
Coming back again, my membership again got denied for the same reason. Applied again, denied. Again, denied. Again, denied. I got fed up. Come on. Who wants to apply for becoming a member for 5 times? And to my shock, when I read the introduce yourself section, guys got approved after applying 20 times. What a waste of time. These guys are looking for perfect English. No problem. I drafted dramatic answers for their questions, did proofreading, checked for spelling and grammar, verified it in various sources in internet(as if I am going to make a English literature speech in Oxford) and applied. Voila, denied again.
There are many other websites which provides solutions for your queries even if you are not a member. So why should I register in this website. Also if we mail them with the queries on cars, I am not getting a response. This happened to me twice.
So finally I stopped applying again and wasting time and starting looking to other websites. And I removed the sticker from my car thinking on why I pasted it on the first place.
