Friends, I thought I was alone, but now I came across so many haters for Team bhp. But most of the underlying posts I see some emotional writings, but here I am putting the facts based on my experience. I was a fan of cars and wasted lots of my valuable time in this site. I don’t advice you that you never use this site, but don’t think the site is setting benchmarks in auto industry -its just again opinions based on perceptions, dreams and specific experiences.
For a new user it may be exciting, but after prolonged usage, my conclusion about the site is as follows:
Biased and Corporate Driven: Don’t think every post / fact stated is right because many of the postings are driven by car companies - knowingly or unknowingly(may be they are supporting them).
Simply Time waster: Another issue is the many of the information is highly cluttered and many of the postings are just bluffing supporting some initial posts / moderators. At the end of reading a 100 page thread you will understand that you just got only a peanut, but wasted lots of productive time and energy.
Arrogant Moderators: As long as you are just a reader of that forum, you are OK, but if you start posting and If you have an an opinion just other than conventional thinking, you will come across some of the most arrogant moderators and fellow members. More than they do a moderation of content these cheap fellows start personal attack by writing private messages or even by putting in the posts itself, which you will feel very bad later.
If you think I am bluffing, please try it. For me a forum should be open and a platform to express their views(as long as it is not personal or religious).
Better stay away from Team-bhp, if you are looking for auto information or for entertainment you will get better expert reviews in many other places like YouTube. But if you are so obsessed about forums, there are many other forums in India which are good and can at least openly express your opinions:
