Friends, I am a previous employee of Tech Mahindra. Tech Mahindra is a great place to work in many aspects. Few facts shared:
They make sure no terrorist can get entry into company premises. All the employees are frisked (and treated like terrorists) and every thing inside their baggage is inspected thoroughly before allowing entry to any employee. Moreover, If you forget your access card at home someday, security staff makes you struggle for a long time before giving you temporary access. This thing is great because after this experience, never ever in your life youll forget your access card at home.
Tech Mahindra is a great company believing in getting maximum out of every employee. Every employee has to punch-in the access card before entering/leaving workplace. The access system keeps track of how much time you have spent around your seat. If this time is less than 8 hours, your absence is marked in the system. Then you have to justify the reason of not spending 8 hours to your manager to mark your presence in the system. The best thing is, you also have to enter your finger print after swiping access card. So, you will need the fingers of the employee if you want to make a proxy attendance. Really a full-proof security mechanism.
The company believes in reducing cost in every possible manner, which is a very good thing in these difficult times. Money is saved even if it means no tissue papers are available in the stinking toilets.
Here support staff is very process-oriented. Every one seems to pretend following the process. The fact that *employee suffers the most *does not stop them from following non-existent processes.
Company believes that employees are the best brand ambassadors. So, they provide bags, t-shirts, caps etc to employees generously. The only catch here is that employee has to purchase these items at more than market rates. Not surprisingly, company has the catch line "Employee First". I did not have the benefit of having read a real review about this company before joining, but now you certainly have.
