Not for the faint hearted.
Tee Dee is a restaurant located in thetibetan refugee camp turned business enclave amidst a mass of residential blocks, hotels, guest houses, tibetan grocery shops and of course, other restaurants. What is so special about this place you ask? Well its a particular dish they make so well: Gyuma. But this is a dry dish, a sort of Tibetan sausage.
To really hit your gastronomical spot you have got to try their other dishes like thingmo(steamed bread), their buff chilli(buff meat with spicy gravy) or otherwise order any other gravy dish to go with your thingmo. If youre looking for comfort food then thukpa is for you. There are a variety of types to choose from so pick carefully! And dont forget to use those delicious side condiments!
