Tehelka.com, a fresh new look and attitude. Now under the new banner of Agni Media Pvt. Ltd., Tehelka is back in action. This time making its presence felt not as a dot com but more as a newspaper.
The website has a lot to offer. Its loaded with articles; apparently the articles which you would really like to read, get you to a page where they want you to subscribe, well yes bugging but fair; I guess. Well we have the TV Today group that does not allow the user to go beyond the homepage and wants to subscribe to the website. On the other hand there are websites that offer free information. Well you know all the big name: Hindustan Times, Times of India, Economic Times and so on. But the real question is? would tehelka offer the same as these huge names. I don?t know only time would tell. But it does look promising.
Let me start off by telling about what you would expect when you get to home page of the website. The website offers article related to all subject, and the articles on the website that I was able to read were nice and crisp. There is a section on the homepage where there are links to hear the news if you don?t feel like reading, however I was not able to open that link.
All in all it?s a website for people who have subscribed, but the question that still really captures my imagination is will Tehelka repeat itself? With an impressive Advisory board, Tarun Tejpal is ready to take yet another step. Seeing what happened not too long ago, could have easily shattered anyone, but Tehelka has shown real guts and is back with a new face.
I have always believe that you can never hide or suppress the truth, and its always would find its way to come out, and tehelka promises to be that channel.
Calling it the people?s newspaper, I am sure tehelka will not disappoint all those who have believed in it.
Thank you for your time.
