TELEBRANDS OR PHONEYBRANDS

One day I happened to see the advertisement of MAGIC BULLET marketed by TELEBRANDS. The ad was so impressive. I could become a fantastic cook at the press of a button. Turn out mouth watering delicacies in matter of a few seconds and what not was promised in that ad.



Happily I ordered the magical device immediately, and started dreaming of churning out wonderous meal after meal.The girl who took the order was most helpful in helping me book the mixer. I was promised prompt delivery in 15 days too.



At last my wait got over and I was rewarded for my patience.


The mixer was standing on my kitchen slab, ready to be inaugurated. I had already boasted to my husband about my magical powers to cook better in a jiffy.



Thank god, I hadn’t planned my meal for that day, based on my new acquisition.



For the moment I started the mixer, clang came a sound and to my utter amazement, I saw 5 pieces of the coupler lying there in front of my eyes.


There goes my dream!!!!!!!!!!! I was shattered.




I called up the customer care dept. and asked them for help.


They were surely helpful by saying that the coupler could be replaced by another one.


Only that they did not have one in stock at that time. She said that they could arrange 1 in a weeks time and then it could be sent to us.


I asked , what is the guarantee that the new coupler would not break.( The catch in the situation was that   the money back guarantee was only for 15 days).


Their next reply was that they could send us a new base if we were not happy with this piece.


We asked them to send us a coupler. The company promised that it will be shipped within a week.


After a week got over we contacted the company, and they replied that they still had not received stocks for the coupler.


We were frankly in a quandary as to what to do as the time period of money back guarantee was also ending.


We decided to return the device, before we lost the entire money.


We asked the person if they would refund us the entire amount.


“Only the price of the device madam, ” pat came the reply.


They were not ready to refund the postage and the handling charges.


We demanded that the product was faulty, we have to return it because the company was not even ready to give timely after sales service.


To sum it up, we got our money back only for the product and lost the money spent on postage and handling. We also lost the money incurred on the courier charges, to send the product back to TELEBRANDS.


Conclusion- The marketing strategy of TELEBRANDS is definitely marvelous, but their products are not as what is promised or shown on TV.
