I have opted for plan 198, which has 200 sms free per day.
Today morning when I checked the balance it was showing positive of Rs 90/-, and as usual I was sending messages, but later when I checked it was showing a balance of Rs 45/-
I was shocked and called helpline 121 around 9.45 am and spoke to Mr. Sreenivas, when enquired he said as today is Divali sms are being charged only for today.
I asked him how the company can charge without informing subscribers, he did not have a valid reason. I told him that I did not receive any sms/ information from Uninor regarding this charges in prior or later, and asked him without informing him how amount was debited. Asked him to refund the sms charges, which he denied, asked him to raise a complaint regarding this and ask the senior team to contact me.
He kept the call on hold and later said as per TRAI all telecom operators will charge today and will not inform me whether customers have to be informed or no, as it is internal company policy!
I enquired with him if I have to write a mail where do I write, he said Uninor does not have email helpline and asked me to check on myuninor.
It is not about the amount but ethics.
