The 10 Greatest English Songs

The Roadhouse Blues by the American Rock Band The Doors is one song I never get tired of listening, is my favourite number. This immortal song composed by Jim Morrison, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek and John Dens more for the album Morrison Hotel was released in March 1970 and went on to become an all time hit. Ritchie Blackmore’s The Temple of the King is another favorite.

The song Holiday by German Heavy Metal band Scorpions is another. Chris Rea’s Windy Town and The Road to Hell comes next. Others in my list are Enter Sandman by Metallica, Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven, Pink Floyd’s.

Another Brick in the Wall, The Cross of Changes by German group Enigma comprising of Michael Cretu, David Fairstein and Frank Peterson, Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan’s classic Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door rendered by the great American Band Guns N’Roses. The list goes on.
