2006 has been said as the year in which Bollywood had loads of blockbuster movies. It is indeed a matter of pride that even Indian movies are being competed with Hollwood movies. They are being screened in foreign theatres and even the firangis are liking it.
This year "Rang De Basanti" was Indias entry to the Oscars. However it couldnt get into the top 10 but still it was a movie for the young generation. On the other hand "Water" which was made in India was Canadas Oscar entry. It could however make into the top 10 of the foreign movie category. Still we can consider it asour movie. Also, this years mega movie "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" by Karan Johar was the No. 1 International grooser in US earning a whole lot of 87 crore business.

The movie for the new generation on how youth can voice against the corruption in the country. A very inspiring movie. Aamir has proved himself in this movie. A must watch for every Indian. Excellent music and very good cinematography.

Based on Shakespeares "Othello" this movie just cannot be left. Its about a gang leader Omkara played by Ajay Devgan. Very well acted. Kareena cannot be forgotten. Well done! Bipashas "Beedi." and "Namak Ishq." rock.
4. KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA: Rated: 4/5
Enter the world of Karan Johars "modern day relationships" and get to cry and laugh at the same time. Bringing forth the new concept of infidelity Mr. Johar proves himself of not only making relationships but also "breaking relationships". Excellent music, superb cinematograpgy, wonderful romance between SRK and Rani. It been tagged as the "Best Promoted movie of 2006" and the No.1 International Grosser.
5. FANAA: Rated: 3.5/5
The most Romantic love story of 2006 cannot be forgotten. Zooni(Kajol) falls in love with a guide(Aamir) thinking of him as her true love. Finally she comes to know that hes a terrorist and the story comes to a climax. "Chand Sifarish" is a great song. Very well made movie.
6. DHOOM2: Rated: 3.5/5
The first super stylish, action drama with loads of sexy dance and looks. Hrithiks out of the world look has been greatly appreciated. His negative role is also worth discussion. The Hrithik-Ash lip lock has become a part of drawing room conversations. A movie to watch once and forget.
7. KRISSH: Rated: 3/5
Bollywood gets its first super-hero i.e. "Krissh". Hrithiks performance has been well appreciated and has won the Best Actor Award for this movie. Still. priyankas bad performance, too childish action makes the movie rememberable only for the children.
8. DON: Rated: 3/5
Shahrukh impresses everyone with his great style comparing himself with Amitabh Bachchan in Don. The action is good, music is great. The cinematography puts everyone on seats. But Priyanka Chopra still needs to improve herself. A once watch.
9. VIVAH: Rated: 3/5
Rajshri Productions take you into the world of arrange marriages and the way these marriages have been potrayed is awesome. A must watch for everyone. Shahid and Amritas chemistry has always been cheered.
10. KABUL EXPRESS: Rated: 2.5/5
Yash Raj Films make a realistic drama of two reporters, John Abraham and Arshad Warsi landing in Kabul in Afghanistan. The situation is intense and is only for those who like loads of action and dangerous and reality situations. A somewhat slow movie. However a Once watch.
