This is not a list of the 10 Best English Movies. It’s just a list of few of
my All time favorites..There is no specific order..The order changes based on my
mood..Some of you might not agree on my list, but as I said it is a list of my
favorites.

Forrest Gump

Anybody opposing this..Sure almost 99% of us would have seen this movie..A simple
story of a Simple Man. There is (I feel) nothing conveyed in this movie..BUT WHAT A MOVIE
Tom Hanks is amazing.His poker faced tuned dialogues did the trick. Few of my favorite
scenes.
Bubba Describing what can be done with Shrimps.
The Raining Sequence in Vietnam..
A Few Good Men

A Very Gripping Tale of 2 Marines who are accused of Murder of a fellow Marine.
This is one movie which will be in all time top 5’s and 10’s, So I am not wasting
your and my time on this..
Truman Show

Wow..thats one word for it. I had no idea what this movie was all about
when I saw this for the first time and could not get what was happening
till almost the very end. had to see it again to get the irony of the movie
fantastic truly fantastic
JiM Carrey(Truman) was selected as one of the few babies who would be on a live
show capturing each and every single second of his life right from his Mother’s
Womb. He realises that something strange is going on with him only when he enters
his early thirties or late twenties (i am not sure).He realises that every single
person except one (who gets thrown out of the the huge world like studio) is acting
and decides to get out of this and enter into the real world. You feel really sorry
for this Guy. A Great Movie.
Life Is Beautiful

This Oscar (Foreign Movie Section) winning movie is worth its name.It will leave
you nothing short of Realising how perfectly the movie is named. It is an Italian movie
, but had to include this here.
A Simple story, Roberto Benigni (Director), A Jew, accidentally meets a Girl,
falls in love , marries her, gets a son and then The whole family gets into those Germans.
He wants to save his little son. A Simple story, beautifully done. It brings out
all your emotions literally all.
That Thing You Do

There is life, youth, energy in this movie. A terrific movie with a mindblowing
soundtrack. Story of Five Guys evolving from a small band and growing to top the
charts under Tom Hanks, their manager, and later disintegrates..
You can hava a debate, who looks smartest in the movie. You come out of this
movie feeling absolutely happy and refreshed.
Back To The Future (Part 2)

Well, another typical SCI-FI Movie..Thats what I thought b4 I could see the
first part..Boy, was I proved wrong. Before getting into this..a very brief
description of part 1. Guy has scientist friend who claims he has a time
machine. Somehow, this guy gets into the Car(Time Machine) and gets transported
to the past where he meets the same scientist(The Then Version..), his mom, dad
and all other jerks of the present. Explains to scientiest. Scientist does not
beleive initially and later beleives bcos it was his time machine which was successful
He tells the Guy. ’’ I will get you back the the future(the then future is the prsent),
but make sure you do disturb the sequence of events otherwise you will disturb the
then future’’. All understood, the guys mom falls in love with him. Calls him Calvin Klein.
That was the Undies he was wearing..and then all ends well..as expected
Part 2 : This was the best. The Scientist comes back and says something drasticall
goes wrong in the actual future for them and that they should rectify it. Well off they go
to the future, where they set things right.Mess up the present bcos of a mistake
they make and find the present totally different. Well Now they decide on a course of
action, go back to the past to set things right..and boy what a confusion..
The Present Guy and Past Scientist of Part 1 who reached in the past are still
present there and Second half of the part 1 Movie is on
The Present Guy and Present Scientist of Part 2 reach there and watch the part 1
characters.
See the rest.It is a very logical science fiction. The only Sci-fi movie
I had ever enjoyed.

Phone Booth

Your life is on the Line - Tagline of the movie.
Stu (Colin Farrel) finds himself trapper in a phone booth under the whim
of a sniper(Kiffer Sutherland).
The whole movie is in the Booth. A Very different kind of thriller
Kiffer’s voice was amazing..
Dude, Where’s My Car

I don’t know why I love this movie. It is absolutely 100 Percent
nonsense. 2 Stupid guys with a Stupider Grin (Throughout the movie)
forget what they had done the previous night, gets up in the morning
to find
The car is Gone
They are messing up with their Girl Friends
Followed by all kind of aliens
an absolutely illogical movie, a real entertainer.
