Well! I have seen a lot of English movies and as such I have a lots of favourite , but I will try to list the best 10 of the lot I remember off the top of my head. They are all equally good ones and this is not a countdown.
12 Angry Men
This is a great classic, 1 hall and a jury of 12 common men discussing over a case of a boy killing his father. This one came in hindi as ’Ek ruka hua faisla’ , equally good, ’’well inspired’’. The only cast I know is Henry Fonda.
The man with one red shoe.
If you like Tom Hanks , you wouldnt wanna miss this, an awesome comedy.
Fallen
Denzel washington has his own way , this is a great thriller, a plot dealing with spirits moving across persons. Dont miss this baby.
Saving Private Ryan
Doesn’t need a review I suppose!
Mission Impossible
First part is great, I didnt like an inch of the second part.
Ocean’s Eleven
Cool movie, Don’t miss this if you are really planning to rob a casino. Brad pitt and George clooney at their best.
Truman Show
Jim carrey is one of my favourite when he does different characters. See his best in ’’The Majestic’’ too.
Shawshank Redemption
This movie is superb, I am not telling you the story. If you like narratives watch this, Morgan Freeman has done the narration ( he plays Red in the movie) in his own style. Awesome.
Life is beautiful
I was laughing during the first hour, it was very funny. But later I didn’t know if I had to laugh or cry. Truly, this is a simple story but difficult to tell. Its about jews.
Back to the future
The best sci fi adventure I have ever seen. All 3 parts are good. Michael J fox is great playing Marty Mcfly.
