Ten Romantic films of all times.

I am personally fond of mushy, romantic films. Films that can make you cry and overfill your heart with joy. Films that give you hope that love does exist and it is only a matter of time before you find Mr Right. Films that you can watch over and over again. Films with dialogues that become a part of your memory.

My list would go something like this:

  1. Titanic

A film with the most unusual backdrop - that of a sinking ship. The emotions in the film touched you deep within and that is the reason the film was such a big hit.

  1. Pretty Woman

A typical fairy tale love story between a hooker and a rich guy. The Prince falls in love with the beautiful lass and rescues her from the tower of misery and poverty.

  1. City of Angels

The most unusual love story of all times. A love connection between a mortal and an angel. And the angel giving up eternity to be with the love of his life for just a day.

  1. The Mirror Has Two Faces

This film underlined the fact - how can we be lovers if we are not friends? Almost contrary to the love at first sight phenomenon this film stresses on the friendship between lovers.

  1. When Harry Met Sally

This film goes a step ahead than the previous one. First foes, then friends and then lovers. But maintaining that attraction is still an important aspect of a love relationship.

  1. Dying Young

Love makes life worth living is probably the moral of this story. A dying man falls in love with his caretakar and goes on without the proper medication for days because he has love and needs no more.

  1. The Bodyguard

An unlikely love story between a star and her bodyguard. The film is more of an action-cum-thriller-cum-love story but the romantic moments in the film are awesome.

  1. Robinhood - The Prince of Theives

Yet another fairy tale love story of how a common man rescues the Princess from the clutches of the villain. The best thing about the film, however, was the OST - Everything I do, I do it for you.

  1. One fine Day

A Michelle Pfieffer and George Clooney comedy of a day in the lives of two strangers when they meet for the very first time. Again the romantic moments in this film make the film worth watching over and over again.

  1. Frankie and Johnny

A Michelle Pfieffer starrer again. This film is about a woman who has given up on love because of her experiences in the past and doesn’t trust men. Enters Al Pacino and with his persistence he wins over his lady love.
