Well, I freak out on english movies because it offers a diverse range of plots and covers every aspect of human emotion and need. Whereas, our bollywood guys keep churing out the sing around the tree and rich gal-poor guy stories. however, they are definitely improving via..copying most of the popular hollywood flicks.
Here is my list and I am sure you will then know my twisted interest..hehehe :
- Reservoir Dogs
This is the second best film by tarantino ( first one-see below), I cannot say it is a cult movie but, definitely a great movie and never seen such a twisted plot and crispier lines in a movie. It’s the story of 6 guys who make a heist and then how they don’t trust each other and you must see the final outcome. Our bollywood guys made this in the name of ’’KAANTE’’
- Pulp Fiction
Wow, this is a film which is very close to my heart and I think I have seen it so many times, I know each and every line. This is a cult movie and you need to see it atleast 2-3 times to understand whats going on. And, when you know, you just won’t stop before buying the DVD of this movie.
- Lock, Stock, 2 Smoking Barrels
I have never seen a movie that is so criminally funny. This is a great achievement for the british director Guy Ritchie, there are so many characters in this movie you will get confused and again this movie you need to see 2-3 times to get ahold of the plot. But, guys, let me tell you this is one of the greatest movies of all times. I particularly liked the cockney accent that is the base of this movie.
- Godfather 1, 2, 3
Do I need to write anything about them????
- The Dinner Game ( French Movie)
It’s the story of a rich socialite who participates in a weekly dinner party where every guest has to bring along an ’’idiot’’ so that they can make fun of him. The film is about how the ’’ idiot’’ of this film wrecks havocs into the life of the socialite. Trust me this film is just 75 mins long and I have never laughed so much in my entire life. I RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE HIGHLY. But, you need to have a DVD which has subtitles in them.
- Odd Couple 2
This is a great movie about 2 old friends who meet up and travel together to their siblings marriage. Its one the classic comedies that was ever made.
- Analyse This
Again, this is mafia mixed with comedy and Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal played amazingly well. This too is one of the best comedies.
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre
One of the most spine chilling movies that got ever made. It is about a true story that happened in a small rural texas town in the 70’s. I have seen this movie in a theatre in US and trust me, people were walking, running, shoving others to get out of the movie hall-it terrified them so much. Well, I got a DVD. don’t miss this its a great horror movie
- Jeepers Creepers 1, 2
JC 1 is a better movie than 2. Nevertheless, both are great horror movies of this century.
10. T2
What can I say, When I saw this movie in theatre, it just took my breath away by its absolutely action power and scintillating music. One of the greatest hollywood action movie. And, ofcourse also of Arnold Schwarzenneger.
