My Top Ten ...

Hollywood.... The dream place of every wanna be actor.

Or should I say .. wanna be ’’Superstar ’’. They have

produced quite a number of awful movies.. but..

but they have produced some simply superb movies as well.

I am not all that a great movie geek. But I have my

personal share of favorite movies.

Pulp Fiction : I watched this movie, and after the first

watch.. myself and my roommate were both awed. We were

not sure about what this is all about ? So what we did...

rewind the tape.. and start it again. I wonder if any

movie had did such a thing to movie. I had to rewind and

watch this movie again and again. Its simply fantastic.

If you have that weird kind of likings for movies you

definitely gonna love this one !

Forrest Gump : Tom Hanks cool performance. And the movie

traverses through the american history in time. Its wonderfully

stupid... very imaginitive. At times its funny, and at times

it is sad. A must watch.

Schilnder’s list : Can take tears out of your eyes. Liam Neesson

and Ralph Fiennes duet. Its a brilliantly told story about the

an industrialist’s undercover struggle/movement to help the

jews. In the end.... Oscar Schindler cries.. and he says :

’’I could have save some more (jew people)’’...

Contact : My personal favorite. Sci Fi of a contact with

the aliens. Inspired by the project S.E.T.I.

Matrix : The age old philosophy (Zen, Hindu, Buddhist) told

in a strikingly ultra modern way. This movie is not at all

about the cool stunts that Neo (Keanu Reeves) plays with

the agent. But its about the philosophy of life.

Godfather : The ’’epic saga’’. Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro,

Al Pacino... at their best. What more do you want? The

Maphia story of the early nineties in the USA. Mario Puzo’s

book is amazing and so is the movie.

Scent of a Woman : Al Pacino as a blind Retired general.

A magnificient performance by a genius.

The English Patient : My personal Favorite. I insist

everyone should watch this movie. Its a poem. It flows like

a soothing wind. Its pure art. Ralph Fiennes , Kristin Scott,

Willem Dafoe and the beautiful Juliette binoche.

A beautiful story. Its not a movie..its a story.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest : Jack Nicholson’s mad

performance.

Dangerous Liasons : John Malkovich , Glenn Close at some

wicked game. A nice watch.
