Let me begin with the days I was first exposed to this music’n had gaped in awe all those pop stars, (now I wonder what I was gaping at, tho’) backtracking to those initial cable days with VJ’s like Danny, sophiyas, nonies’n my cousin sis going berserk with all those posters plastered across the room waiting for those half an hour capsule of’top of the pops’ on DD’n that exclusive grammys clippings broadcasted after months it was over, etc etc
Anyway the ordering is no way related to its ratings:
Crazy: by Aerossmith.Its a video with girls(Alicia Silverstone’n L.Tyler) venturing out on a freak out trip’n having a time of their life.Somehow cute Alicia seems to be attached with Aero’s videos then with another one’Cryin’ also featuring her, remember that bungee jumping at the end!
Keep the faith: I was totally crazy over this video’n song, hearing it with pitch hi-vol, ’n that thundering reverbrating music’n screaming Bon Jovi.WEll even his other videos’Blaze of Glory’, ’Bed of Roses’.r equally brilliant.Somehow his songs r more poppish nowadays, dont know why he changed his style?
Wicked game: by Chris issack.Anybody remember this sexy video? I dont want to eloborate, will leave it to ur imagination why I liked it back then.Video apart, chris’s sensous voice’n song is really minty-cool.
Like a prayer: Hmm.she is sooo versatile’n in step with time .Her videos r simply so different from one another .The video of this song was absolutely brilliant, with wild dancing .Her videos be that Spanish La Isla Bonita, to million dollar Monroe looks in Material girl to that kinky curiosities of a small boy in Open ur heart to that matador in’Take a bow’ to the recent funky MUSIC, r simply amazing.Even if u dont like her songs u r surely goin’ to like it for videos for sure.
November rain: This long long wierd video is an epic in itself’n needs no intro at all.I feel as tho’ I watched a movie at the end of the video, featuring that marriage with Slash, that funny incident of forgetting that wedding ring, the wedding party, ’n frenzied guitaring at the climax of the song’n that sober ending with a funeral’n that nightmare.’Garden of Eden’ is another notable mention.
Man in the mirror: I prefer the performance he gave in GRammys, man I was hooked to those moonwalking steps’n that sizzling performance.Well another artist, whose videos r breathtaking, do I need to eloborate more, I think NO!
I’d do anything for luv.: by one album wonders Meatloaf.This is another long video, with a tempo building up into a crescendo ’n a totally wierd whacky one.
Return of Innocence: This enigmatic video is really unique in the sense that it rewinds back in time’n even a hit song way back then.
Lambada: This is a fun video with really some gr8 sasla(is it?) steps .
Beautiful girl: by the tragic INXS.This explosive video was really a big favourite of mine
Other videos that come to my mind is that simple black’n white video of’Man on the Moon’ by REM(’n also a lovely osng), NO ordinary world by Duran Duran, Freedom by G.Micheal, that song by Ini Kamozie(hot stepper), ’Cream’ by Prince.etc etc
For videos that presently rule my charts r:
1) Turn off the light: by Nelly Futardo, this video is really funky
2) U remind me: by usher is a lovely cool video with some smooth steps
3)Bass in the place London: by Public Domain, a gr8 house music with mindblowing club video, anybody watching MCM?
4) Hey boy, hey girl: Even tho’ this song is a bit old now, I saw this fab video just recently
