Freewares or Open source software is on demand these days. It is a big boon especially for students who cannot spend much on high end priced software. For instance, If I need to learn CAD, then most of them would opt for AUTOCAD from Autodesk, but since it is priced heavily or with limited verison for students, Its better if I can switch to open source platform such as KiCAD, etc.
I am a regular user of other softwares such as online video converters, Open office(instead of MS office), etc. Even operating systems such as Linux, Ubuntu, etc. can be installed that uses less CPU and memory and its also virus free. I was in search of sending some videos of high quality( in Gigabytes) via mail which was not possible for me unless I use Dropbox or Google drive. I came across this software Handbrake that reduced the space from GB to few MBs that is sufficient for file transfers with the same quality as earlier. This is the beauty of freewares.
