I seem to be making a habit of commenting on the top ten songs. So why not the top ten hindi songs of 2005. To begin with let me say that 2005 was an year dominated more by film songs then by indipop. Infact there were a few songs who when made into remixes were amazing hits, anyway without further delay let me get right into the list as always in reverse order.
10) Aadat(Remix)- The song from the newly released movie Kalyug. Amazing song with really brilliant https://lyrics. The singer is pakistani and always the indian audience had no trouble in embracing the music. The lyrics of the song are very strong and are the reason the song is in the list of hits of 2005. The lyrics go something like
’. Juda hokay bhi tu mujh main kahin baaki hai.’ If you have ever had your heart broken listen to this one.
9) Salam Namaste- ’. Aa milja phir gale haste haste.’ Okay now the lyrics do not make much sense but the song has made a definitive statement and I like it. It may not be the best of 2005 but it certainly is one of the best. I am sure you have heard this either on the radio or in a disc.
8)Dus Bahaney- Okay now the movie was a little bit of a disappointment but the lyrics and especially the video really added to the overall impact the song had on the audiences. Its still a hot favourite in the discos and is a rare original composition. All in all worth a mention and a place on the list of top hindi songs of 2005.
7)Woh lamhe(remix)- Well the original was sung by the Pakistani group Jal. It was slow and even in the movie the song is slow. However at the end of the movie during the credit roll the song is played in the remixed form. The song has been remixed by none other than DJ Saketu and is a very good blend. One of the rare occasions when the remix surpasses the original by miles.
6)Dhadak Dhadak - I could have picked the immensly popular kajra re from the same movie but to be absolutely honest I did not like the song that much this song however is fun, light and easy to listen to. It really lifts up your mood and I absolutely love listening to it early in the morning. I think this has to be one of the better songs of Bunti and Babli.
5)Aap ki kashish(Remix)- Another song that has a funkier, groovier feel than the original. I love the song and I feel Aashiq Banaya Apnay was a better effort in terms of music than the movie. Love the song and feel Hemesh Reshmaiya(I know I never get the name right) has done a brlliant job in terms of the music and its a really good composition.
4)Ishq hai Jhoota- This is a song from the movie Ek Khiladi Ek haseena and trust me the only high point of the movie was this song and what a song. Really funky beats, good lyrics and err uhm. let me say some sizzling ladies. I loved the song and it is really cool.
3)Tauba Tauba-’. Ishq main karaya’- Love the song not the movie. The movie was disappointing the song is brilliant and for a movie that only shows two songs on in the beginning and one at the end good show.
*2)Aashiq banay aapnay- Well well the music composer who sang and did he sing. wow!. Okay if anyone doubts his capabilities he has put theses doubts to rest and he has done so brilliantly.’. teray bin suni suni hai bahain teray bin. bin asar meri rahain.’. Kudos! mate kudos.
1)Right here right now- Okay Abhishek Bacchan can sing! and this is probably this is the most honest indirap song I have heard in a long time. The video of the song is absolutely Bombastic!. Move over eminem Abhishek bacchan can do it as well and in hindi. I loved the movie and for a change the music complimented the mood of the movie.
Well that is it. I may disappoint a few people who may say . you missed this out and missed that out. but I feel the list is pretty comprehensive and covers a majority of the hit music releases of the year
