RajniKanth, the most popular name in South India and the name is known for its style and performance.Certainly no one would’ve expected the fellow who opened the gates of Tamil industry in ’’Aboorva raagam’’ would be the Super star.Perhaps a lot of hard work was required and he has now come up to a level that anyone would dare to reach.The latest was his blockbuster was Chandramukhi That changed the fate of South indian film industry.
There is always something special to say about each film of Rajni kanth and the
following are my personal favourites that remains in the top ten in my
heart.I would suggest the readers not to get dissapointed with the list as it doesn’t incorporate all his best ones.
1.Dalapathy:
When it comes to Maniratnam, everything shines and who needs to say about his combo with the super star.The movie has a perfect narration, astounding performance and perhaps remains in everyone’s top ten.The duo of Rajni and Mamooty remains the backbone of the film.Who can forget the friendship between Surya and Deva.
2.Baasha:
A very typical Rajni film and every scene in the movie has the audience applaud for
rajni’s dialogue.The film was directed by Suresh krissna.No one can imagine a subject of this subject in the absence of the super star.
3.Padayappa:
One of the biggest hits of Rajnikanth.Another unforgettable role by Ramya krishnan as Neelambari.The movie was directed by K.S.ravikumar and the combo worked out very well.
4.Moondru Mudichu:
One of the initial films of Rajni.He performs the villian in this movie and when
K.Balachander directed the film with the hero dying before the interval, the performance credits diverted to Rajni.Sridevi and Kamal hassan did a fair job.
5.Thilu Mullu:
Hilarious movie where Rajni performs a dual character.The film has a just perfect comedy track and is directed by K.B again.Stunning performance by the hero.
6.Annamalai:
Sarathbabu and Rajni’s combo never went in a vain, Rajni unquestionably remains the ’’King’’ and good support performance by sarath babu too.A tale of frienship...
7.Ninaithallae Inikkum:
When Rajni and Kamal Hassan come together , will it be less than expectation.Peak
performances although a slow, different movie directed by K.B, the only person who can make the giants act together.
8.Avargal:
Yet another K.B. movie and again rajni peforms a villain , but so casually and
beautifully.Though a woman-based story, Rajni’s performance in the film is one of my
favourites.
9.Muthu:
’’Muthu’’ is when Rajni and A.R.Rahman joined hands together and ultimately a superhit .Rajni performed a dual(Father and son).Though the former comes in for a few minutes, rajni rocked.
10.Chandramukhi:
Last but not the least, the film that changed the box office trends in south
india.’’Chandramukhi’’ even though it was a remake, made the difference in the industry and proved what Rajni can do.Great Performance by Jyotika too.
One of most successful commercial actors in the industry and the father of styles that shook South India, RajniKanth definitely the ’’Man of the masses’’.
