This review is about some of the best pc games of 2009.
The year 2009 was a revolutionary year in the field of gaming.With the introduction of DirectX 11 graphic cards by ATI the gaming community is literally on fire.
This year also saw the introduction of PHYSX utility by nVIDIA which gives realistic graphics to games.
2009 also saw the release of many most awaited games such as GTA 4, Batman Arkham Asylum, Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 and Need For Speed:Shift.
So lets take a look at the best games of 2009
ACTION GAMES
1)GRAND THEFT AUTO 4
The greatest pc game is back with more action and more fun.Its one of the best games of the year with incredible graphics and a great story line[huge size to~16GB].
Its one of the hottest selling title of the year by EA GAMES.Broke many old records soon after the launch.
The game was very enjoyable in every sense and was a treasure for action game lovers.
2)FARCRY 2
After the success of Farcry 1, the whole gaming world had high expectations on the sequel by UBISOFT and they had done a fairly good job.Game had improved in terms of graphics and story.
Its one of the first games supporting nVIDIA PHYSX and have much improvement in graphical quality.
With about 50 miles to explore this game will keep your hands busy for few days
ADVENTURE
HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE
This game had conqured many minds because of its simplicity.Game is not fully adventure as it have many elemnts of Role playing games or RPG’s.
Its also one of the best sellers of the year from EA GAMES.One of the cons is the game is very short and can be finished in 2 or 3 hours.
Most interesting thing is it have many qualities of Nintendo Wii style gaming.Many tasks in the game like potion making and casting spells are done by moving, rotating and shaking the mouse. Much improved than the earlier game
FIRST PERSON SHOOTER[FPS]
1)CALL OF DUTY:MODERN WARFARE 2
One of the most awaited game of 2009.With incredible graphics(size too~12GB) the game is one of the best looking games released till date.
One of the bad things I found was the Single Player mode is very short.The guys from ACTIVISON had done their job very well and its a must play for all war games lovers.
2)CALL OF JURAEZ:BOUND IN BLOOD
Amazingly it was one of the best game I have ever played.The game has a superb story[the best i’ve ever seen]which tells about the life of two brothers who loves one girl.
This game by UBISOFT have great graphics and I enjoyed every moment of it.
One of the bad things i’ve found in the game is that the lighting and shadows are not done properly and players must face difficulty in moving through dark places.
STRATEGY GAMES
BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM
The game which fights for GAME OF THE YEAR award.Game was simply amazing with great use of nVIDIA PHYSX technology.
Game is developed by EIDOS well known for their Tomb Raider series.
Game is very puzzly and can give you a hard time to find your way through the game.
SURVIVAL HORROR GAMES
SAW
Thats right, the famous horror movise series has became a game now.Have decent graphics with a scary story.The game is developed by KONAMI knows for their PES series.
Game puts us in boots of detective Tapp who tries to survive in horror mansion with hidden traps and saving the masked man JIGSAW’s victims.
ROLE PLAYING GAMES [RPG’S]
FALLOUT 3
Another game fighting for game of the year award.This sandbox styled game actually is very boring.The player have to walk and find their way through endless barren wastelands to survive from predetors and hungry mutants.Game is developed by BETHSEDA DEVELOPERS.
The game have unique style and allows user to play in two styles good and bad.It even have two ending!
RACING GAMES
NEED FOR SPEED:SHIFT
After the poor performance from older NFS titles the Shift had done fair job in saving their number one place in racing series.
Its a great game with amazing graphics from the developers EA.
Its great for arcade racing lovers.but bad news for old Nfs lovers like me who likes to play games like mostwanted.

SPORT GAMES
FIFA 10
EA guys had done a good job again.This time with improved graphics and harder AI.The only flaw in earlier FIFA games was the loose AI.
Now fifa is becoming more like Pro evolution series with improved game play.

This year was the year of canadian developers ELECTRONICS ARTS[known as EA games] with many successful titles.The EA guys are truly far ahead of other developers.The only company that challenged EA was UBISOFT.Coming attractions are ASSASSINS CREED II and MAFIA II AND iam sure that they will give a tough fight to the mighty EA GAMES.
