2003 has been a good year for music, this year has been dominated mostly by fresh\new talents..................the likes of VISHAL-SHEKHAR, RAM SAMPAT, SANDESH SHANDALIYA, SHANKAAR-LOY-EHSAAN and I just love their kind of music, its different, modern yet very melodious and pleasing to the ears.I loved albums like JISM, JHaNKAAR BEATS, CHAMELI, RULES-PYAR KA SUPERHIT FORMULA, KUCH N KAHO, KHAKEE....................and these albums were reason enough for me to enjoy the year 2003.Here i’ll list ten of my favourite tracks of 2003................hope you like them too.
1.JADOO HAI NASHA(JISM):Can a song get better than this?Its simply an outstanding song composed by the very under-rated MM KREEM, lyrics were great too and SHREYA GHOSAL..............well what do I say for her that she is gifted with a beautiful voice!JADOO transforms me into a different world all-together...........that is the kind of effect it has on me.
2.SUNO NA(JHANKAAR BEATS):Oh!i love this song...........its so beautifully composed by VISHAL-SHEKHAR, lyrics are different too-not your usual pyar-mohabbat kind of lyrics and SHAAN’s gossammar vocals make the song sound absolute magic.One of my all time favourite love song.
3.AISA JADOO(KHAKEE):Well I love most of the songs from KHAKEE but AISA JADOO is my favourite from it..................coz of the energy, beat and funk in it.You just can’t help but dance to the song..............and SUNIDHI CHAUHAN has done a great job singing it.A jhakaas song.
4.ALLAH KE BANDE(WAISA BHI HOTA HAI):Aap mein se kitna logo ne ye gaaana sunA hai?This is a very unusual song to pick...............but I simply loved this number.Its a very dark philosphical song and the lyrics are plain brilliant yet it is such an enjoyable NUMBER..............its got a very catchy tune.A kind of song that lingers in your mind after listening.
5.KAL HO NA HO(KAL HO NA HO):The title song from KHNH is one of SHANKAAR-LOY-EHSAAN’s finest composition.There is a lot of feel to the song.............and the lyrics by JAVED AKHTAR are a highlight and I think this is also one of SONU NIGAM’s best song................he has sung it with all his heart..............and that shows in the song.A very likeable number......
6.KABHI PHOOL DENA(RULES):This one is another of my favourite track of this year..............its such a cute song.SANDESH SHANDALIYA...............came up with a very good score for RULES, the songs had a very fresh feel to it.This song was very nicelY sung by BOMBAY VIKINGS...............
7.ACCHI LAGTI HO(KUCH NA KAHO):I have been an admirer of SHANKAAR-LOY-EHSAAN’s music, they have a very distinct style and there music is generally very modern and contemporary but very pleasing to the ears.I loved the songs of KUCH NA KAHO...............but Acchi lagti ho is a personal favourite................the music, beat is awesome, very catchy and enjoyable track.
8.GIRLFRIEND(BOYZ):Well...................this one is a tamil song from the soundtrack of BOYZ composed by RAHMN-the genius.I don’t understand tamil but was recommened this album by my brother and what a album it turned out to be!Simply outstanding score.................and GIRLFREIND is my favourite track from it.Real classy songs in this soundtrack.............very techno and modern music.
9.TERE SANG EK SIMPLE SI COFEE(ZAMEEN):I really freaked out on this number..............a very cute song.Lyrics are a bit absurd but the music is catchy by HIMESH-RESHAMIYA, a kind of song you’ll enjoy no matter what.HEMA SARDASAI-KK did a fine job singing it though half of the time I am unable to understand the https://lyrics...........BUT A nice track neverthless.
10.MERI ZINDAGI MEIN(ARMAAN):What a lovely song!A very romantic number composed by SHANKAAR-LOY-EHSAAN, there was lotsa melody in it and the lyrics by JAVED AKHTAR were poetic.SUNIDHI-SONU sang the song remarkably well.One of my favorites of the year..........
