Brilliant Anu !!!

Its almost a year since you posted this review and my b’day wish will be so belated that it actually turns in to an advance b’day wish. anyway here it goes

Wish you a rocking birthday in advance.!

I like Anu Malik from my school days and following his compositions since then. Dont follow much though right now coz of my work and other assignments. But I was really mad about his compositions that time. So my list of’Anu’s best!’ will have a completely different look. Anyway I am giving it here with a brief description.

10) Badalon mein chup  (Phir teri kahani yaad aayi) -  This movie was a musical masterclass, and songs did so well even after the fact that movie was a disaster financially. Great vocals, comparitively high tempo yet sweet rhythm and good use of guitar . A great song.

09) Paagalpan chaa gaya(Jaanam) - Simple and cute melody with a wide variety of instruments used for background(thing which I get attracted most). a real great composition.

08) Raah mein unse(Vijay Path) -  I would like to repeat every word you said about this song

07) Shabke jaage hue(Tamanna) - This is one step above the other usual hindi songs

06) Raja ko rani se pyar(Akele Hum Akele Tum) - One of his best’adaptation’. Never thought Godfather love theme is this romantic. He gave a whole new soul which that composer would be proud of - a classic

05) Hum teri mohabath mein(Phool aur Angaar) - Dont think many have heard of this song, but it sits pretty at 5th place in my count down. A damn good romantic number

04) Is pyar se meri taraf(Chamatkar) - This is the first Anu song I fell in love with. Quite complex composition with great background score.

03) Chuda ke daman(Imtihan) -  a song still I have not got bored even after hearing it a few million times. Really a magical song

02) Sun Sun Sun barsaat ki dhun(Sir) - Anu at his best, you will feel as if its raining outside when you listen to this song. One of the best songs of that decade.

01) Dil mein sanam ki soorat(Phir teri kahani yaad aayi) - What can I say about this song. I would give 15 if I have to rate this song in 10. Kumar Sanu also deserves credit mesmerising performance. A real gem in indian music.

So here goes my top ten Anu’s songs. Most of this will surely have a place in my best of best list. Let me know your thoughts on this.
