Hello friends I dont know tamil, I am kannadiga and I listen daily Ilayaraaja’s compositions as Iam guitar I love his music because of the extravagant music arrangements and melodious composition, here Iam presenting some of my favourite songs composed by the Maestro.
1.Patta Poove(Semburathi): Meldious song beautifully composed by Ilaya sir and the singers are s.janaki and mano, the song is in good rthym from beginning to end.
2.Naguva naliva(Pallavi-Anupallavi-kannada):- Singers spb and s janaki and u if u havnt heard this song I bet ull enjoy a must for IR fan what a melody, what a musical arrangement of violin, flute and keyboard, mindblowing and a rare gem of IR.Mani sir, s first film.The love scenes of this film are same as of mouna ragam .
3.Elangaathu(Pithamagan) Sriram Parthsarthy the singer of this song provided ood justice to the song and Ilaya’s Bag is still full of meldoies I wonder Hats off to The raja of raagas.
4.Thenral varum(Friends) The sweet voice of hariharan+vizi manuel’s keyboard+ ilaya sir’s guitar pieces= Masterpiece.one of my favorites the renderation of bhavatharini in middle wowfully wonderful.
5.Aye Zindagi(Sadma):Suresh wadkar sings very melodiosly and the bass guitar an d violin pieces great’chota sa saaya tha’lines are good.
6.Jotheyali(Geeta - Kannada)’One of the Top ten songs of the millenium in kannada film industry. and my favourite also the duet renderation of spb and s janaki so loving what to say
7.Enna sattum(Punnagai Mannan): Ilayaraaja’s and spb greatest combination gem hit and song seems romantic also and sentimental at the same time, this is the magic of raaga in which it is composed .
- Ilaya nila(Very shamefully kalyanji anandji copied and made huge hit in hind’neele ambar pe - shame on them for being called as great and original composers)
The guitar pieces might be played by Maestro himself is as good as any song and the vioce of spb melodious overall great music .
9.alolam(Sirai chalai):The congos rthym is something unusal and different not a customed and super song chitra and spb kudos and Ilaya what to talk of u mesmerizing are ur songs.
- poonkatre en per solla(vetri vezha): Good bass guitar pieces and spb janaki combinatio asual melody and nice composition the pallavi is more melodios.
