TEN BEST ADVERTISEMENTS SEEN ON TV 1. Coca Cola launched a new commercial recently. The same old “Thanda Matlab Coca Cola” but with a different somewhat aggressive approach. You have Aamir Khan again but now disguised as a Nepali showing his unhappiness at the drink given to him which is not Coca Cola. In this ‘thanda matlab’ Coca Cola is done very well done. It is refreshingly new, visually appealing and conveys its message. 2. I like the advertisement of AC Black Apple Juice, ‘kuch bhi ho sakta hai, kuch bhi’ very interesting and visually attractive. As in the case of other liquor ads. This also is perhaps disguised may be ‘Johnny Walker’! But the visuals are eye catching. 3. This one, tells about Birla White Cement and has been seen for quite sometime now. I like it for its simplicity. But it conveys the intended message nicely and forcefully. I am referring to the Birla White Cement advertisement in which a question is asked, “Ismay kya khas baat hai’? The reply is simple but very confident and forceful, “Isme jaan hai”. 4. Pepsi’s commercials are always interesting and, “Dil Maange more” is a very good catch phrase which has been presented in many different ways in the Pepsi advertisements. All the versions are nice and interesting to watch. 5. Khubsoorti Jhalke, Hawa se halke.Action Flotters, isn’t it cute? This one is about Action brand shoes and chappals. 6. The new HLL Lux soap visual has a good variation on its filmstar advertisements. Again an interesting change in the age old, line of, “Sitaron ki pasand, sitaron ka roop rang nikhare”. The new one says, ”Mere men star jagaye” Is an instant winner for me. 7. Hawkins has come out with a new Pressure cooke called Contura. The earlier one was Futura. I am not sure how good was Futura! Notwithstanding that the new commercial on Contura ‘halwa’ ad is good. We have been wondering, how does one prepare ‘halwa’ in a pressure cooker! May be it is just a cooker. 8. Advertisement, “GO GOA” currently being aired by Goa Tourism Department is visually appealing, 365 days on holiday. 9. I was instantly bold over by a Washing machine advertisement showing the forceful water jet which supposedly washes clothes inside the machine. I have not seen this repeared much and I am not sure if it was ONIDA. It is simple but well thought out and well presented. 10. Well there are many which, (Raymonds complete man, Mayur suitings, Grasims, PPJewellers ) can be selected for the tenth spot but I like Raymonds Complete Man.
