Well, there seems to be heavy competition for the top honors in both the’best’ and the’worst’ ads category.In fact, the latter seems to have more . Nevertheless, I would prefer watching ads to listening to’sob’ stories in the Balaji serials.
Some of the ads which I love watching are:-
The insurance ad which shows a boy looking far into future and planting a small tree which grows up and helps him. Far better than the insurance ads about death of a family member.
Cadburies. Showing people celebrating happy moments in their life(Lending a cellphone to Amitabh)
Johnsons baby soap. Lovely babies are a joy to look at
Airtel ad( Girl calls up her parents after the copter crashes and says-’dad, I’m gonna be very late’)
Sony handicam- showing a family growing up with the handicam. Life seems to be surely worth it.
Saint Goblain glass ad which shows a woman trying to throw water on 2 customers. Actually, she was trying to clean the glass!
ICICI ad which shows them placing the hand in a way conveying’We r there . We’ll take care’.
8.Lays ad featuring saif ali khan and Pataudi. No one can eat just one.
9.Crack cream ad showing a daugther concerned about her mom’s’phati ediyan’.
- Bharat Petroleum ad- was cute. well, don’t know whether it’ll drive home the msg they are trying to convey
Well, I took great time to decide the above said best ads . but, the worst category would be easier. some of them are Frenchie ad, Samsung pinning to winning ad, All the shampoo ads, Fair and lovely ad- which gives an impression that u have to be fair to be successful, The disgusting cleaning soap ad with a person looking into his plate and seeing the face of the guy who had previously eaten in it. And ads which say so and so salt improves memory. Well, we would start eating salt by kgs.
