Lights!..Camera!..Action!!

I know this sounds a bit crazy to write about this in the Outdoor games category, but I have no choice in the entertainment area. Please bear with me.

Today all of us are living a very monotonous life...work, studies, office etc.So we do need a break for our poor brain which works throughout the day.The best relaxation is to watch a movie and imagine a movie based on your favourite sport....That would be really cool. And now it has come.Today the sports industry has been invoking a lot of attention from the media, with day to day news and reviews about sports personalities and their private lives. It has also made its entry into hollywood.

As Rocky is to boxing, Bend it like Beckham is to soccer, Lagaan is to cricket, Now we have Wimbledon premiering on behalf of tennis. This movie has already created too much hype and zest among tennis fans. The movie has the credit that its the first one made in tennis.

Wimbledon....love all

The director, Richard Loncraine has dextrously done the task of naming the much awaited movie.Even if you are not an ardent tennis fan, the word Wimbledon would have been familiar to you.Wimbledon is also the greatest grand slam title every tennis player would dream about.Only great maestros have adorned this unique championship. So in my opinion this title is the right choice for this movie.

All the hype and glamour....ooh

Wimbledon has attracted the attention of the world because of many reasons. It was in the news when Serena Williams turned down the lead role offer. Then again it was there when a spokesman for the tournament said to the crowd’’The crew will be all over the place. So smile...you could be on camera’’.Also it has some star cameos from tennis legend, John McEnroe and the younger williams siter, Serena.

The story

The film centres on a tennis player(Paul Bettany) who is really devastated with consecutive failures and is at the 157th rank.He then comes across an ambitious player (Kirsten Dunst...remember M.J in Spiderman?) who rekindles his diminished passion for tennis. In the consequence they fall in love and the climax has the hero playing against an angry, avenging opponent. The movie is a cool romantic comedy a real treat for action hungry tennis fans.

Success or not?

With the huge success of films like Bend it like Beckham, Rocky, Raging bull etc.. this cool flick is expected to make a huge box office hit.And with star casts and so much introduction it would make it...i hope.

Get ready tennis fans to watch the ultimate movie
