Freshness has got a new name- - Rahul Vaidya

He was the 2nd runner up in indian idol 1 and is here with his debut album after eight months. so, has he left his fans disappointed. those of you that think that way, aunty g says think again!

Tera Intezaar, hmmmm, so whats in store for us? Well I cant say much but it only promises great music with the most heart felt vocals by the 18th year old.

The album starts off with the title track, tera intezaar. its a cute song with a nice and catchy melody. lyrics are ok but rahul sings so beautifully and every word is emphasised and sung so perfectly and with true emotion that your heart melts. the album is inn to great start after this one!

Tere liye, is my favourite track. a romantic song like a fresh breeze.  its really beautifull and the melody is very fresh. lyrics are again average but rahul’s vocals are so warm and perfect that it sends a chill down your spine.

Mausam, is a very cool, soothing and fresh song. it starts off with a tuff of perfectly sung notes and rahul starts off the song  briliantly. the song is very catchy and has marvel spread all over it.

maula is an upbeat song. it is what you call an acquired taste, some may like it and some may not. it has a unique theme and shows versatility in rahul’s vocals. if its video would have been released (so many people could have known about it) it would have been become an outrage among the teens.

kangna is an unexpected treat. rahul has sung it so flirtatiously and so sensuously that you’ll get goose bumps all over. one problem is that the song has peices of the most corny rap ever but rahul and the funky beats save the show

kuch to kaho and tumse bichadke falls a little behind. the latter is average but some people may like it because of rahul’s emotion-filled singing. the former is a duet with the ever sweet prajakta shukre. its a ballad but the weak lyrics did not help it in any way but they are good in their own places

the album ends with the remix of tera intezaar. it is not overdone and has kept the simplicity and the serenity of rahul’s vocals. the great album has a great finale

so, rahul has proven that he deserved to win idol but nevertheless he has won my heart. he will go a long way and will leave a mark on the industry. i wish him the best of luck!!!!!
