Yet another different subject from Mahesh Manjerkar.This one’s about Raj(Ajay Devgan) who lives blissfully in a chawl attending to the needs of his teenage mentally challenged brother Rahul(Dushyant).Marriage is a word out of the vocabulary of Raj and Namrata Shirodkar’s overtures mean little to him.
All is going well till Raj is asked to meet his prospective bride(Sonali Bendre) who Raj finds is just the girl suited for him.Unable to decide how marriage will affect his relationship with his brother, his prospective wife offers a practical solution to send his small brother to a home for the mentally challenged.A welcome selfish approach instead of the cliched sacrificing alternative.
Of the cast Ajay Devgan is well restrained while both Sonali and Namrata perform adequately.The talented supporting cast of Shivaji Satam and Reema Lagoo also bring their roles to life.But it is boy wonder Dushyant that steals the show.Their is potential in the story but unfortunately Mahesh Manjrekar dosen’t do enough justice to it
