Previously, when I had read a review about this movie, I had a question in my mind - why Himesh does films(as an actor), and this movie also fails to answer this question. I am sure, many viewers would agree with me on this.
Second question I have is, how Bollywood even dares to produce such movies, when they know the bar has been already raised by movies like Neerja, Aligargh, Airlift and many others since last few weeks.
Himesh should do what he is good at - Singing(though, many do not like his singing too!) Movie has some big names as star-cast like Nasseruddin Shah, Kabir Bedi, Shekhar Kapoor - probably were fetched in to save this movie, however it does not help!
Girlfriend is played by Farah Karimaee, a new face, who is ok. Direction by Shawn Arranha is also ok, however there is nothing that could save this movie from shambling at the box-office.
One would expect that Himesh Reshamiya would have learned a lesson from the disastrous response that he got for Aap ka surorr in 2007. But no he didn’t. He is back with an even more disastrous sequel. The title is Teraa Suroor, a lethal love story. That should have served as a warning. But as they say, curiosity killed the cat, curiosity drove my old school friend and me to the theater to watch this pathetic film. Even the reputed cast of the film didn’t help it. By reputed cast, I mean the likes of Naseeruddin Shah, Kabir Bedi, Shekhar Kapoor are in the film.
Rimesh Reshamiya is the main actor, who is Raghu in the film. He is trying to save his girlfriend Tara acted terribly by Farah Karimi. Tara was caught with drugs and her boyfriend is ready to go to lengths to save his detained girlfriend. The story is very bad. The worst is the acting of the two lead actors. There are many songs which can be expected from a Reshamiya film. Not a good film and should not be wasted time on
Anyway - what more should I say about this film, weak story, packed with unwanted and untimely songs, Himesh tries his hands with Guns and common formula of a love-story - this is all the movie has.
You can choose to skip this movie - here is a short recap on the story, Himesh plays an action Hero, shot somewhere in Dublin where his girlfriend is in the prison, arrested in drug trade connection. The movie is all about how Himesh plots to help his GF to break free from the prison.
