Entertainment bin nonsense

Ali Hassan is a TV journalist who aspires to go to Amreeka and get famous. In seven years his visa was rejected 6 times and was deported once. When his dream was not getting materialized by hook, he starts by crook. A travel agent promises him to take to Amreeka with help of duplicate passport, but everything has a price and the price was 2.5 lacs. Ali gets disheartened but keeps his hopes alive.

Next day he happens to meet Noora in a rooster competition. His rooster, Sikander has been the winner of the competition for the past 10 years. Noora is proud of his rooster and his egg business. He says ‘eggs of my size cannot be found in the whole world……take it in your hands and see’(obviously it has a double meaning; we can find many such lines in the movie). After recording the competition Ali realizes Noora has the look of Osama and thinks it is Osama. He and his cameraman go to the house of Noora. To their disappointment Noora was not Osama, but just a lookalike.

Ali still comes up with a plan to make money. He decides to take an interview and sell it to the owner of the channel, in which he worked. He then convinces his cameramen, his scriptwriter, to do this. He ropes in a makeup girl to make Noora exactly like Osama and a RJ to do the dubbing in Osama’s voice. And in short time they shoot the video. The video shows Osama angrily warning Bush about their next strike on Amreeka. Ali sells it to the channel owner, Majeed Bhai at a price of 10 lacs. Majeed Bhai in-turn sells it to an Indian television. The video becomes instant hit on TV. Amreeka becomes red alert. They sent their special agent Mr. Ted Wood to Pakistan to catch Osama. The second half of the movie shows the aftermath of the video and how Ali and friends are affected by it. The movie becomes more interesting and funny.

The running time of the movie is just 95 minutes. That’s because no time has been wasted on masala romance and unconnected songs. But entertainment starts at the very first minute and lasts until the movie lasts. All the actors had done justice to their characters. Ali Zafar is good but he should stop imitating Sharukh. All in all, this movie is much better than the usual comedy movies which is filled with nonsense jokes of which audience had grown numb. The movie stands out for its new story line and entertainment. Hope such movies will continue to be made in Bollywood.
