Hello0 ppl...hmmm you must be wondering why am I writing this review after a year of the movies release hehe .. well I saw the movie last year when it was released and I thought I had already written the review..Im going to see Dil ne Jisse Apna Kaha tommorrow..have nothing much to do so thought why not do this..
So..yeah whats the use of writing about the story ..All you people already know it dont you..Il just write a few lines about what I thought when I saw this movie...
I didnt like Salman Khan that much and thought his movies were stupid. But all that changed thanks to this movie, when I first saw this movie I was left open-mouthed with his acting..the climax..the pain ..the agony. The role of a ruffian suited him to the T. It was made for him and I dont think anyone else could have done that role. Some people didnt thought much of the movie simply because they dont like Salman Khan. That is not fair.
Even if u dont like the looks or attitude of some actor, you should still give credit where credit is due. Although Hrithiks performance was wonderful as well in KMG but I think Salman Khan was ripped of the award. Scenes such as the confrontation with Bhumika when he kidnaps her, the pain in his eyes, the agony in his voice, the Asharam scenes where he is nothing more than a dead body, when Bhumika comes to see him in the Asharam and specially the heart-touching climax which had me in tears as I thought he had struggled so much to get there and what awaited him; will stay in the memory for a long time.
The movie itself might not be a legend, there might be holes in the script but the movie was packed with excellent performances. Bhumika did a wonderful job as well considering it was her first mainstream Bollywood film. I wonder where is the son of Kader Khan, didnt see him in any another movie after this one because his acting was great and reminded me of the spirit of friendship that one seldom sees nowadays. Other supporting actors were good too.
The music of the movie is just fantastic. What more can you ask?The title track is something that comes once in decades, Odhni has got a great tune and great music, Kyon kissi ko touches your heart with its soulful melodies, Lagan Lagi is power packed and has got a wonderful dance on it in the movie( I danced on this one in ma broz wedding;))..Tumse milna is simple yet so good, while O Jana is a fun song.
I am currently in Australia, but Im actually from Karachi, Pakistan. I remember when the movie was released, you could hear this movies songs everywhere..in the cassette shops, on the streets, in cars..several guys put on a similar hairstyle as the character of Radhe Mohan which Salman plays in the movie..it was all over the place and even now you can put the cd and listen to the songs. It is not often now that such good music comes which you can hear even after months of the movies release. Moreover, most of the ghazal evenings or musical gatherings I went to also had singers crooning the title track. What was the meaning of all this? The movie was a big hit!
I am now a fan of Salman Khan and I guess this movie has changed him too, Baghban, Garv, Mujhse Shadi Karogi all had great performances from him. You might be thinking Im raving this movie, but I liked it so much. There arent that many movies that go straight to your heart.
This will remain as one of my all time favorites for sure. Okie Dokie, I should end it here and get back to other stuff..will write the review for Dil ne Jise Apna Kaha tommorrow after seeing it. Cheers and dont forget to have fun and if you read it , , dont forget to rate and add a comment.. c ya:)
