Rise of the special effects ( story terminated)

Having seen the previous two movies, I am dissapointed. Excessive reliance on special effects, mindless fighting, attempts at humour have not converted T3 into a good movie. I think that, movie makers nowadays are obsessed with explosive special effects and fight scenes, while the underlying story is given little importance. Thar is the reason why most of todays sequels fail.

Matrix Revolutions, SW episode 2, and JP3 are examples of this. The movie makers, I think, rely on the image of their previous succesful films, to sell these sequels.

T3 in particular, did not impress me, it stayed in theatres for a couple of weeks, and seats were mostly empty. It didnot have the aura or the electrifying atmosphere of the previous two movies. Some naughty humour here and there ( this time the villian was a female robot, who could alter shape and size of body parts) the movie had little imagination and failed to enchant the audience.

I dont have much more to say, I only hope that producers stop trying to milk money out of their successful films, by creating a failed sequel.
