Made me jump...

I really enjoyed this film in the theatre because of the excitement the crowd gave it and all the energy of anticipation for it. Once the movie started and then after almost 2 hours when it finished, I was greatly relieved and suprised about how well they remade an American Movie Classic.

I liked all the character developments and the gore was a bit much, but you will get that in any horror movie that is remade to get you more into it. One thing I didn’t like was the made hanging from the hook above the piano, to me that was a bit too much, and wasn’t realistic.

We after all, live in a society today that wants to be scared but wants it to be somewhat real to us and our minds. If the movie is way over the top then most people won’t bother with it.

Overall, I enjoyed the thrilling elements of suprise they gave us in this film. The story line was a little different from the original but this was only the directors interpretation of his story.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes horror genres.
