I had one of the worst travel experiences of my life at a street food stall in Thailand. I clearly explained how I wanted my pancake prepared, but the vendor ignored my instructions and made it differently. When I politely asked him to take it back, he agreed but what happened next was shocking and unacceptable.
A Thai girl standing next to me suddenly threw the pancake on me. I was left completely humiliated and stunned. This behavior was deeply disrespectful and crossed all boundaries of basic human decency. There was no provocation from my side that could justify such an act.
This incident, combined with several other rude encounters with people operating in tourist areas, made my entire trip extremely uncomfortable. As a tourist, I expected at least basic respect and professionalism. Unfortunately, street vendors in heavily tourist-driven areas seem to treat visitors as money rather than people.
I am sharing this review to warn fellow travelers to be cautious, especially while dealing with unregulated street food stalls. I strongly recommend sticking to proper restaurants or food courts to avoid such distressing experiences.
