Rehmaan Magic once again. But do not be misled by the Rang De.. style. The album is a wonderful mixture of different types of music. The Music Director (A.R.Rehmaan) has so much of variety in his music that you can enjoy from folk to western and even a very different touch at some places. This is an album that requires very acute listening. Slowly the rhythm is catched, more you like the song. Most of the other songs are slow paced. Ik Chehra is beautifully sung.
Boondon Se Baatein was listned to by me atleast 5-7 times before I started liking it. Now it is my favourite number in the album. Just try to figure out the rhythm, it is out of the world (it is very difficult to catch it however).
The Goa touch in Jumbalika is so real that it makes one believe that the Music Director might origin from Goa, whereas Dholna really contradicts and no one can say that the Music Director is not from Punjab.
The shrieking voice of Hema Serdesai in Toofan Ki Raat is amazingly high pitched and still totally in control!! Ive never listened to such a thing in my entire life in any kind of music. Rehmaan actually rules by giving a beautiful touch to his music using a number of instruments in a marvellous Synchronization. No song in the Soundtrack is worth skipping / fast forwarding. Overall, Rehmaan at his best...
